Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan has been pictured wearing Nuri Sahin's Liverpool shirt on social media network Twitter.
The Real Madrid loanee posted the photo of his international team-mate last night, ahead of Turkey's World Cup 2014 qualifier against Romania.
Turan is a self-confessed Liverpool fan, and prior to his €12million switch to the Vicente Calderon Stadium in 2011, revealed it was his dream to one day turn out at Anfield.
"I want to play in major leagues and my dream team is Liverpool," he said. "As I always mention, Liverpool attracts me because of their tradition.
"In Europe, I am a Liverpool supporter, so if I go to play in Europe, I would like to play for them."
Arda was part of the Europa League and Super Cup winning Rojiblancos side in 2011/12, and with two goals and one assist in seven games already this season, has continued his impressive form this year.
After Brendan Rodgers convinced Sahin to make the temporary move to Merseyside this summer, could there be a possibility that he turns his attention to Arda in January?
The 25-year-old has a €24million release clause written into his current contract, and with competent ball control, dribbling skills, and a strong work ethic in both attack and defence, would fit in well with the Reds boss' preferred system he is trying to integrate at Anfield.
