Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing Juventus starlet Richmond Boakye and are keeping a close eye on his progress.
A report from talkSPORT claims the Old Trafford club have been interested in the Ghana striker for some time now and Sir Alex Ferguson has heard positive reports from the scouts sent to watch Boakye.
Manchester United may find it difficult to secure the services of the exciting 19-year-old attacker, as the Serie A champions only signed him in July from Genoa.
Juventus and Manchester United have history when it comes to losing promising young talents; Old Trafford youth star Paul Pogba turned down a new deal at United after Juve offered him better terms, signing him on a free transfer.
The situation cannot be repeated any time soon with Boakye, however, due to him only recently joining Juve and his contract not expiring any time soon.
Juve have him in a co-ownership agreement with Genoa, who signed him from DC United in Ghana, before he caught the eye while on loan at Serie B side Sassuolo.
He is currently back there after Juve allowed him to go on loan, but Boakye appears to making making good progress, as recently made his debut for the Ghana national team, scoring the equaliser in a draw against China.
Manchester United’s interest may not be red hot currently, as they have an abundance of attacking options and have only just signed promising Chilean teenager Angelo Henriquez.
