Chelsea set transfer sights on another Samba star

Chelsea are being linked with a move for Brazilian international midfielder Paulinho.

TalkSPORT claims Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo is ready to add to the South American contingent at Stamford Bridge, and has targeted the 24-year-old holding midfielder as a possible addition in the January transfer window.

David Luiz, Oscar and Lucas Piazon already ply their trade for Chelsea, whilst Ramires and Paulinho currently compete together for a place in the international side. They could do the same thing in west London.

The tough-tackling Corinthians star has won five-caps for the Selecao to-date, and has impressed the watching Chelsea manager with impressive performances in the Copa Libertadores at the start of the year.

Chelsea aren’t the only club keen on signing the player however, with Italian giants Inter Milan ready to compete for the player’s signature this summer.

It’s unclear how much the Premier League giants would have to pay for the former Bragantino star, but with other clubs interested, it’s unlikely Paulinho would come cheap to the Blues.
