Pulis not concerned about Shawcross

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has no concerns about England's delayed World Cup qualifier causing problems with a late return to the club for centre-back Ryan Shawcross.

The Potters boss tuned in to watch Roy Hodgson's side take on Poland in Warsaw in case Shawcross made his senior England debut, but heavy rain over the Polish capital and an unclosed stadium roof caused a waterlogged pitch, with the match being rescheduled to 5pm local time on Wednesday.

"I hadn't watched the build-up and just switched on to see the kick-off and couldn't believe what I was seeing," Pulis told the Sentinel. "You can't believe that if they have a roof and the rain is coming down they haven't prepared for it. But you can't do anything about it now and I've got no worries about Ryan ahead of Saturday."
