Arsenal are being linked with a move for highly-rated Spanish international winger Jesus Navas.

The 26-year-old Sevilla star has spent almost a decade at the Ramon Sanches Pizjuan, making his debut in 2003 and amassing well over 300 appearances for the club.

However, financial difficulties could force the club to cash-in on the 21-cap international, and talkSPORT claims the news could lead Arsenal rekindling their interest in the player.

Valued in the region of £20 million, Los Rojiblancos may be forced to negotiate over the fee because of their current predicament, according to Radio Sevilla, meaning Gunners chief Arsene Wenger could capitalise on a cut-price deal.

"I'm happy at Sevilla but if an offer arrives, we'll see. You always want to improve," Navas is quoted as saying by talkSPORT.

Arsenal would hope for Navas to hit the ground running at the Emirates Stadium, if a transfer move was made in January, with the benchmark now set following Santi Cazorla’s success in north London.

Different to the other wide options at Arsenal – Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gervinho – Navas would offer some extra guile to the attack, alongside the raw pace currently at the manager’s disposal.
