Valencia midfielder Jonas has revealed he intends to remain in Spain despite reported interest from Tottenham.
Jonas has made a sublime start to the new season after finishing last term with 19 strikes to his name, although Valenica currently sit in 14th in La Liga.
Reports in Spain this week have linked the 28-year-old with a move to White Hart Lane as Spurs look to bolster their attacking unit when the January transfer window opens.
However Jonas insists he is more than happy to stay put at the Mestalla, and hopes to see out the remainder of his contract despite the possibility of a move to Spurs.
“I’m very happy here and I’ve still got a long while left on my contract,” he said. “I want to stay and complete my contract.’
Spurs play their first game following the international break on Saturday, with Chelsea the visitors to White Hart Lane.
The match marks the first time Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas will come face to face with his former employers after he was let go by the Stamford Bridge-based outfit in March.
Tottenham will be without Scott Parker, who could be out of action until Christmas, while Kyle Naughton and Jake Livermore are back from injury and fighting for a starting spot.
