Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo has a number of big decisions to make ahead of tonight’s clash against Shakhtar Donetsk, but who will start as goalkeeper is not one of them.
Petr Cech has been in fine form all season for the Blues, and will again need to be on top form against a side containing dangerous Brazilian playmaker Willian.
John Terry, who missed Chelsea's weekend clash against Tottenham Hotspur as part of his domestic four-game ban, is set to return at the heart of the defence alongside either Gary Cahill or David Luiz, whilst Branislav Ivanovic and Ashley Cole will retain their places at full-back.
Frank Lampard, who sat on the bench for the majority of the 4-2 win at White Hart Lane, will be expecting a recall for the tricky Champions League trip to the Ukraine, and is likely to play in a more defensive midfield role alongside John Obi-Mikel.
In the three more advanced midfield positions, Di Matteo will have to decide between Eden Hazard, Oscar, Juan Mata and Ramires, with one of the Brazilians set to miss out for the Stamford Bridge side.
If the Chelsea boss goes slightly more defensive, then Oscar can expected to sit on the bench, with Fernando Torres once again leading the line on his own. Daniel Sturridge will provide support if required from the sidelines.
Chelsea predicted line-up v Shakhtar Donetsk:
Petr Cech; Branislav Ivanovic, John Terry, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole; John Obi-Mikel, Frank Lampard; Ramires, Juan Mata, Eden Hazard; Fernando Torres.
