Bolivian goalkeeper Carlos Arias, hardly known outside his own country, has achieved worldwide fame after an astonishing sequence in which he saved the same penalty on three occasions.
The 32-year-old Oriente Petrolero shot-stopper produced a fine save to keep out the first spot-kick, only to be told he had advanced from his line and the penalty would have to be retaken.
Arias again got the better of Edgar Escalante from the second pen, only for the referee to again call the 'keeper up for the same infringement - much to the irritation of Oriente Petrolero's players and staff.
But Arias redeemed himself once again when he repelled a feeble third effort from Escalante to earn his side a draw.
