Lazio are preparing to offer midfielder Senad Lulic a new deal, in an attempt to ward off interest from Chelsea and Bayern Munich, reports talkSPORT.

The 26-year-old has attracted attention from a host of different clubs, following a number of scintillating performances for the Serie A giants over the past 12 months.

Blues boss Roberto di Matteo has been linked with a move for Lulic, even after the acquisition of numerous midfield options at Stamford Bridge in the summer.

But, any hopes Chelsea might have of securing the Bosnian international's signature, have been dashed by news of Lazio's intentions.

With the Italian outfit currently placed in a promising third place in the table, the club is harbouring ambitions of a first league title since 2000, and are determined to keep hold of all their best players.

Lulic's existing deal runs until 2016, however Lazio are keen to reward him for his fine form with an additional one-year extension and a significant pay-rise.

Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes is also weighing up a January move for Benatia as he bids to beat Lazio and Chelsea to offering him a lucrative deal.
