Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has admitted his side need a 'miracle' if they are to reach the Champions League knock-out round. City slumped to a 3-1 defeat against Ajax last night to leave them with a single point from their first three games.

Manchester United are set to offer Tom Cleverley a new contract. The 23-year-old will be rewarded for his strong start to the season and recent England call-ups.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has predicted another goal-fest when Chelsea play Manchester United this weekend. Last season's fixture at Stamford Bridge ended 3-3, and Cech expects more of the same on Sunday.

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has admitted he would take a point from their Europa League match against Maribor tonight. Spurs travel to Slovenia having drawn their first two fixtures, and Villas-Boas will be looking for a reponse from his squad after their 4-2 defeat to Chelsea last Saturday.
