Nani could be about to throw his Manchester United future in doubt by turning down the offer of a contract extension at Old Trafford, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Manchester United winger has reportedly grown frustrated with his first team opportunities this season having only started five games for the Red Devils this term. He was forced to watch from the bench as Sir Alex Ferguson’s side recorded a famous 3-2 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge yesterday.
The former Sporting Lisbon player, who moved to Old Trafford in 2006 for around €25 million, admitted after the win at Chelsea that he was at a loss to explain why he couldn’t get regular football this season.
“I am in perfect condition,” he commented. “I am physically good and feeling confident. I am the same Nani as always.”
The 25-year-old was linked with a move to Zenit St. Petersburg over the summer, and last week declared that ‘only God knows’ what might happen in the future.
The Manchester United midfielder will likely get the chance to show what he can do when his side line up against Chelsea once more in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday.
