Ferguson thanks granny for helping with Chelsea win

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson dropped the diamond formation against Chelsea, after being given the hairdryer treatment by an 80-year-old granny.

The octogenarian from Rochdale phoned the club's official call-in show after the win against Braga, and Ferguson said it helped him make the decision to bring back his wingers.

Five Premier League players are on the shortlist for the 2012's FIFA Ballon d'Or.

Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Yaya Toure, Mario Balotelli and Sergio Aguero are up for the award.
