Manchester United midfield target 'happy' in Spain
Manchester United transfer news: Sofiane Feghouli in talks to extend his stay at Valencia
Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain could be forced to widen their search for a new playmaker after Valencia midfielder Sofiane Feghouli revealed he is in talks about extending his stay at the Mestalla, reports talkSPORT.
The 22-year-old Algerian international - who moved to Spain from Grenoble two years ago - has netted three goals in six La Liga appearances this season, and attracted admiring glances from a number of clubs around Europe.
Last month, Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson was credited with an interest in taking Feghouli to Old Trafford, however it's free-spending Ligue 1 giants PSG who are the latest club to be linked with his signature.
In a recent interview, the France-born star admitted he was flattered to be linked with such an illustrious club in him homeland, and in an apparent snub to Premier League giants Manchester Untied, insisted he is happy to remain in Spain.
"I feel very happy at the club," Feghouli is quoted in L'Equipe. "Each year [the club] competes in Europe and its facilities are excellent. I have a contract until 2014 and I am discussing a renewal with the club.
"Talk of a move to PSG makes me proud, but out of respect to the club and the fans I do not want to talk about this. Paris is my city, obviously there is bound to be talk."
