Nani’s potential switch to Juventus has been jeopardised by the actions of his former agent, according to reports in Italy.
CalcioMercato report that Nani is no longer represented by former agent Jorge Mendes, but his brother José Emiliano Almeida Araujo instead.
However that has not stopped Medes apparently trying to tout around the Manchester United winger in the hope of securing a slice of the action.
The Italian site also reports that Nani has no intentions of renewing his current contract at Old Trafford and is keen on a move to Italy, having made just five starts under Sir Alex Ferguson this season.
The Portuguese international was an unused substitute for the Red Devils’ 3-2 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, after which he admitted he was perplexed about why he wasn’t playing more regularly.
Nani came close to leaving Old Trafford over the summer, but couldn’t agree terms with Russian outfit Zenit St. Petersburg before the transfer window snapped shut.
According to CalcioMarcato, Juventus are will to talk to Nani about a potential switch to Turin, but will only discuss the deal with his brother despite being approached by Mendes.
Nani’s wages could prove to be a problem for the Serie A champions, however Nani is said to have hinted that he favours a move to Juventus and is hopeful a deal can be done.
