Barcelona are ready to rival Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid for the signing of Radamel Falcao, reports talkSPORT.
The 26-year-old Colombian international is one of the most prolific strikers in world football at the moment, after starting the season at Atletico Madrid in scintillating form.
His impressive performances have long attracted the attention of Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo, who has been regularly linked with a possible bid to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
However, in a recent interview, Falcao insisted he had no desire to leave Spain, which was a major blow to Chelsea, and fellow Premier League admirers City - who certainly have the funds to lure him to the Etihad Stadium.
AS now believe that Barcelona are willing to break the bank and pay the required £48million needed to bring him to the Camp Nou, and are considering a cut-price £18million sale of Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez to help fund the deal.
Falcao's comments that he is happy in Spain suggests that Atletico remain his number one priority, but he could be open to a switch to a La Liga rival, if the price is right in January.
