Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo is TV's new star peacemaker

Published Add your comment

Cristiano Ronaldo showed he is equally as comfortable in the role of peacemaker as he is when playing for Real Madrid, after convincing a mother a daughter to patch up their differences on an Italian TV show.

The 27-year-old former Manchester United superstar appeared on 'I have a letter for you' and demonstrated his credentials as a potential future diplomat with a composed performance.

Ronaldo took a not too dissimilar role to American TV legend Jerry Springer as he pleaded with the mother and daughter to forgive each other and, luckily, the pair were willing to take the advice of the Real Madrid forward.

“All people should know how to forgive. Life is so short — things are better if you forgive," Ronaldo said.

It was advice that Ronaldo could do well to listen to himself, given reports earlier this season of the Portuguese growing tired of life at Real Madrid and wanting to secure a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

Ronaldo has since been linked with a move away from Real Madrid to super-rich French club Paris Saint-Germain.
