Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are all keeping a close eye on Watford starlet Tommie Hoban.

According to the Daily Star, scouts of Sir Alex Ferguson, Brendan Rodgers and Roberto di Matteo have all been monitoring the former Arsenal youth players after some impressive performances in recent weeks.

The 18-year-old has recently broken into the Watford first team under Gianfranco Zola and his displays have brought many plaudits, as well as the serious interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Hoban is a Republic of Ireland Under-19 international centre-back, but actually started his career at another London club, Arsenal.

The report claims the Gunners let him go when he was 14 years old due to a troublesome knee injury, but have been keeping tabs on him since.

However, the report suggests the Old Trafford club have come in to challenge their rivals at Stamford Bridge and Anfield, having him watched in the Hornets’ victory over Leicester at the weekend.
