Maribor claim they are unaware of any interest in their highly-rated striker Robert Beric, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham, reports Sky Sports.

The 21-year-old has started the 2012/13 campaign promisingly, netting twice in the Europa League already, and attracting attention from Serie A side Napoli.

After scoring against Spurs back in October, the Slovenian U21 international is now thought to be on Andre Villas-Boas' radar, with the manager considering an offer for his services in the forthcoming transfer window.

Beric will get his first taste of playing at White Hart Lane this evening, when Maribor take on Tottenham in the reverse group stage fixture tonight. And, he'll be looking to impress his Premier League admirers, in the hope Villas-Boas will firm up his interest in the New Year.

However, Maribor director of sport Zlatko Zahovic is ignoring talk of a possible move for their player, insisting the match itself is of greatest importance.

"Tomorrow's match against Tottenham is everything we are thinking about at this moment," Zahovic told Slovenian newspaper Ekipa. "We want to get a good result in London.

"Beric? Believe me, I do not know anything about interest from those clubs mentioned."
