Tottenham and Newcastle are ready to throw their hats into the ring for Manchester United transfer target Tom Ince, according to the Sun.

The young winger has been in fine form this season, scoring eight goals in 14 appearances – something which prompted now ex-Blackpool manager Ian Holloway to insist he has the potential to be better than Arsenal and England pair Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Given the departure of Holloway to Crystal Palace, Ince’s future at Bloomfield Road looks more uncertain than ever, and the Championship club may be forced to sell up if the likes of Tottenham or Manchester United come calling.

Ince has been attracted Premier League interest in recent months, with Manchester United said to be amongst his suitors.

His father, Old Trafford favourite Paul Ince, is said to have met Sir Alex Ferguson over a potential switch earlier this season.

The Red Devils reportedly sent a scout to run the rule over the former Liverpool youngster last month, and could make a move when the January window opens.

However they may face competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham, who according to the Sun are preparing to make a move in January.

The paper claims Spurs have registered an interest in the player with Blackpool and are keen to take advantage of the fact that the 20-year-old, who is out contract in the summer, is keen on a Premier League return.

Newcastle have also been credited with an interest in Ince, who fits the profile of signing boss Alan Pardew and owner Mike Ashley want.
