Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Willian hopes impressing on the Champions League stage will earn him a move to one of Europe's top clubs, with Chelsea and Tottenham both interested in his signature, reports Sky Sports.

The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, but so far no club has been willing to match the Ukranian champions' valuation of the Brazilian.

However, after a number of eye-catching displays in Europe - most recently in Wednesday's 3-2 defeat against Chelsea, where Willian netted twice at Stamford Bridge - that could be about to change, when the transfer window reopens in January.

Speaking after the game, he said: "One day I want to play for a big club here (England), in Spain or in Italy. I have said that in the past.

"I always try and play to the very best of my ability, not just in some games. But it is obviously important to do as well as you can against a team as good as Chelsea."

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is a known admirer of Willian, having tried to sign him for Chelsea during his brief spell in west London, and is believed to be considering an attempt to bring him to White Hart Lane in the New Year as he continues his search for a midfield successor to Luka Modric, who joined Real Madrid in the summer.

"In the past, Chelsea and Spurs have made offers," admitted Willian. "And, in the future, who knows? Maybe they will come back."
