Javier Hernandez proved there is more than one goal-machine in the Manchester United ranks as he bagged a hat-trick (well, sort of; his second was marked as an own goal) to help Manchester United battle back from 2-0 down to claim a dramatic 3-2 win over Aston Villa.
The result means that the Red Devils are guaranteed to end the weekend in top spot no matter what happens when Manchester City and Chelsea take to the field tomorrow - but they were made to work for the win they so desperately wanted.
Roared on by a passionate home crowd Villa took the lead thanks to some brilliant work by Belgian striker Christian Benteke. The muscular forward powered his way past Chris Smalling to tee up Andreas Weimann on the stroke of half-time.
It got even better for the home side after the break Weimann once more benefited from some excellent play from Benteke to double Villa's lead.

However from that moment on, it became the Javier Hernandez show. A combination of youth and experience helped United register their first goal of the game, with Paul Scholes lofting a wonderfully weighted pass over to Hernandez who made no mistake with his finish.
Aston Villa 2-2 Manchester United, Vlaar (OG), 63'
It wasn't long after that Chicharito made it two apiece - the little Mexican hauled his side back into the game as he volleyed home Rafael's cross off of Villa's Ron Vlaar after a neat pass from Wayne Rooney.
Aston Villa 2-3 Manchester United, Hernandez, 87'
With just three minutes of the game remaining the in-form striker was there to secure three points for his side. After United had rattled the woodwork a couple of times Hernandez didn't make the same mistake as he shook free his marker to tap home Robin van Persie's free-kick.
That makes it seven goals in six games for Hernandez, who alongside Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney, surely forms a third of the most deadly, and entertaining attacking unit in the Premier League.
