Former Barcelona midfielder Deco believes Neymar is primed for a move to European football, while he places the young Brazilian on a par with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Neymar is seemingly destined for a transfer away from Santos in the not too distant future, and the likes of Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been credited with interest in his signature.

Barcelona would appear to be leading the pursuit of Neymar, and reports have claimed the Camp Nou club have already agreed a deal to sign the 20-year-old.

However, both Barcelona and Santos have moved to deny anything has been signed between the two clubs, which will offer a glimmer of hope to Chelsea and Manchester United.

Neymar has always outlined his intention to honour his contract with Santos, which ends in 2014, but compatriot Deco says the young forward is ready for a high-profile transfer right now.

And, according to Deco, Neymar can already be counted alongside Messi and Ronaldo as one of the best three players in the world, while the former Chelsea man ranks Messi as the pick of the trio.

"There is no doubt that Messi is the best player in the world, he does incredible things and keeps on breaking records," Deco told Esports COPE.

"I think Cristiano [Ronaldo] is nearly as good as Messi. They are both phenomenal footballers, but in different ways. They are far and away the best footballers in the world.

"But what Neymar has been achieving recently is incredible, and for me he's already in the same category as Messi and Cristiano. He's ready to go Europe."

A move to Barcelona for Neymar, if reports are to be believed, is almost a forgone conclusion, but Chelsea and Manchester United are unlikely to give up easily in the race to sign the Brazilian.

Neymar has been urged by international teammate Oscar to move to Stamford Bridge, while Manchester United were linked with a transfer deadline swoop for the former as Sir Alex Ferguson strived to bring reinforcements to Old Trafford.
