Malaga midfielder Isco, a reported target for Arsenal, Liverpool Manchester City and Manchester United, has reinforced his Premier League credentials after being named the Liga de Fútbol Profesional's breakthrough talent of the year.

Isco, who is being compared to Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas in Spain, has frequently been linked with a move to the likes of Arsenal or Manchester United, and is likely to be in-demand during the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old played a prominent role as Malaga claimed a Champions League place last season, and has taken on greater responsibility since the sale of Santi Cazorla to Arsenal in the summer.

Isco has been rewarded for his continual rise with recognition from the LFP, with the Spain international's fellow professionals voting him as the best young talent in La Liga last season.

Malaga, however, may struggle to retain his services, with the club's financial problems highlighted by Cazorla's cut-price transfer to Arsenal, and Isco could be set to follow his former teammate to England.

Manchester United, though, are seemingly leading Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool in pursuit of Isco, with Sir Alex Ferguson reported to be considering a £16 million January offer.

But Liverpool are unlikely to be deterred by the interest of Manchester United, and the Daily Star claims Brendan Rodgers has identified Isco as a long-term replacement for Anfield legend Steven Gerrard.
