Arsenal will join Inter Milan in taking a closer look at promising young German defender Sebastian Jung on Wednesday evening.
The Gunners’ manager Arsene Wenger is interested in the right-back who has just received his first call-up to the Germany national team, according to calciomercato.com.
The 22-year-old has been increasingly impressive for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, whom are currently flying high in the Bundesliga and just three points behind FC Schalke 04 in third.
Should both Arsenal and Inter decide to move for Jung, it may not be the only tussle they have over a right back in January or next summer.
Bacary Sagna has recently been linked with a move to the Serie A side after becoming disillusioned with the Emirates Stadium club for selling their best stars in recent years.
The France international has only recently recovered from a second fractured leg in the space of a year and his current Arsenal deal is set to run out at the end of next season.
An identical situation with Robin van Persie and Samir Nasri saw those two force through moves after Arsenal’s reluctance to let them move into the final year of their respective deals.
