Reported Chelsea target Stephan Lichtsteiner is happy at Juventus and has no intention of leaving Turin in January, according to his agent.
Sky Sports reports how the reigning European champions were believed to be monitoring the right-back over the summer, and now rumours have resurfaced they could renew interest in the New Year, alongside big-spending Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
The Swiss defender has been dropped by Juve boss Antonio Conte for the last two Serie A games, fuelling speculation he is heading for the exit-door. But, Lichtsteiner's representative and brother, Marko, says there is no weight to the transfer talk.
"I don't know where these rumours come from," he told calciomercato.it. "Stephan is happy at Juventus: they are first in the league and we hope they get through the (group) round in the Champions League.
"He wants to stay, he has no intention of leaving Turin and there is no reason to do it.
"He has no problems with (the coach). They are two people who have a strong characters and always want to win. If the club has other ideas for Stephan, I don't know."
Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo has been using Branislav Ivanovic at right-back for much of the campaign, with summer signing Cesar Azpilicueta in Stamford Bridge reserve.
With that in mind, the 28-year-old's agent does not expect either Chelsea or PSG to make an offer for Lichtsteiner, but if they do, the deal will be considered accordingly.
"I don't think that Chelsea and PSG will advance offers in January, but if a club were to make a proposal to Juventus and they should accept it, we'll talk and evaluate together what to do."
