Werner rules out Suarez sale

Liverpool chairman Tom Werner insists the club have no intention of selling Luis Suarez.

The Uruguay forward has been linked with a big-money move to Manchester City although Blues manager Roberto Mancini has dismissed such speculation. Suarez has become a match-winner for the Reds, his two goals in the 3-0 win against Wigan on Saturday taking his total to 10 to become the leading scorer in the Barclays Premier League this season.

Asked if Suarez could be sold in the immediate or longer term, Werner said: "Absolutely not. He's a beautiful player to watch and, as a Liverpool fan, I hope I'm watching him for many years to come."
