Manchester City have thrown their hat into the ring for Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool transfer target Wilfried Zaha, and will try and blast their rivals out of the water with a stunning £15 million bid according to reports.
Zaha has attracted interest from numerous Premier League clubs thanks to his excellent form for Crystal Palace which earned him an England call up earlier this month, where he made his full international debut against Sweden.
Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool have all been linked with a move for the talented youngster – but according the Sun, Manchester City are about to enter the race and could blow their rivals out the water with a bumper bid.
Arsenal have been tracking the 20-year-old for some time and are believed to be ready to make a move to take him to the Emirates Stadium in January.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger recently confirmed that his priority in the transfer window will be to land young talented English players, a profile Zaha certainly fits.
The Citizens are willing to make an offer in the region of £15 million according to the paper – almost double the amount Spurs, Arsenal or Liverpool were preparing to offer in the winter window.
The bid would consist of £12 million up front and a further £3 million in add-ons, an attractive offer that Palace would have to consider although still someway short of the £20 million quoted by the Eagles’ co-chairman Steve Parish.
Zaha has two and a half years left on his current deal and Palace are reluctant to sell up while they are still in the hunt for promotion to the Premier League, meaning Manchester City – or Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool, may have to wait until the summer.
