Harry Redknapp has joked that Frank Lampard wants to quit Chelsea for Queens Park Rangers as he made light of the constant speculation surrounding potential January transfer window activity at Loftus Road.

QPR have been linked with the likes of Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole, LA Galaxy's David Beckham and French forward Loic Remy since Redknapp joined the club, and Chelsea ace Lampard is the latest in line to be mentioned with the Hoops.

Lampard is, of course, Redknapp's nephew and, with the 34-year-old's contract with Chelsea set to expire in the summer, a link to QPR is an easy one to make.

Redknapp was asked during a press conference on Friday if he would approach Chelsea and try to sign Lampard in January, and joked that a deal was already in place to sign the midfielder.

The former Tottenham manager had the assembled media giggling as he claimed Lampard was keen to quit Champions League winners Chelsea for a relegation battle at Loftus Road - as you can see in the video below.
