Street star shows skills to rival Messi & Ronaldo

Published 3 Comments

Few would argue that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are two of world football's greatest talents in the modern game. But, even the Barcelona and Real Madrid duo might struggle to compete with street star sensation Iya Traore.

The Parisian performer, who can be regularly seen showcasing his tricks to inquisitive tourists in the French suburb of Montmarte, has emerged as an internet sensation after being filmed juggling a football whilst climbing a lamppost.

In the five-minute video (link below) Traore starts with some fairly basic keepy-uppies, before entertaining a crowd of spectators with a never-before-seen head balancing act.

A homage to Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic can be seen with his own interpretation of the propellor kick, as well as numerous other unbelievable flicks and tantalising tricks.

Traore's stunning finale sees him performing 30ft in the air, with another heart-stopping balancing act that truly has to be seen to be believed!

Portuguese star Ronaldo certainly earns a few more euros a week at the Santiago Bernabeu than this sensational street busker - and you can compare his skills from a few years ago, during a shoot for PES 2008 below.

Meanwhile, Messi can be seen showing off his skills, as he juggles with a boot instead of a ball, in a short adidas commercial.

The 25-year-old Argentine star is not used to the challenge of Traore, but he and Ronaldo will go head-to-head once again for the 2012 FIFA Ballon d'Or trophy, alongside Barcelona team-mate Andres Iniesta, with the winner set to be announced in January.
