Burnley manager Sean Dyche was happy to silence a doubter among the Turf Moor faithful after his inspired substitution rescued a 1-1 derby day draw against Blackburn.

Rovers were forced to weather a first-half storm before taking the lead when Jordan Rhodes glanced home Mauro Formica's cross to claim his 13th goal of the season.

Henning Berg's men appeared to be playing out the victory in relative comfort before the 86th minute introduction of muscular forward Sam Vokes, in place of midfielder Chris McCann, unsettled their defence and resulted in the Wales international's headed equaliser three minutes later.
