Wesley Sneijder’s agent is due to hold crisis talks with Inter Milan today in a last-ditch attempt to sort his future at the San Siro, with a move to Manchester United still on the cards.
Sneijder’s time with Inter appears to be coming to an end after it was revealed he had been asked to take a pay cut or face being dropped from the first team.
The Dutchman is said to have refused to lower his £200,000-per-week wage packet, and hasn’t played for Inter since September, although he has been out injured in that time as well.
Sneijder is a long-term transfer target for Manchester United, while Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham have also been credited with an interest in the former Real Madrid playmaker.
According to TalkSPORT his agent Soren Lerby will hold talks with Inter in an attempt to clarify his position at the club, with a January transfer now a ‘real possibility’.
Paris Saint-Germain have the financial clout to force through a move for the 28-year-old, while TalkSPORT also claim Tottenham are monitoring developments – although whether the Lilywhites have the cash to lure Sneijder to White Hart Lane remains to be seen.
