Manchester United have been joined by Juventus in their reported pursuit of Austrian teenager Marcel Sabitzer, it has been claimed.
The 18-year-old continues to impress for current employers Admira Wacker, and could seemingly earn a high-profile transfer to either the Premier League or Serie A.
According to talkSPORT, Manchester United are keen to secure the signature of the £1 million-rated youngster, whose contract expires next summer, but the Old Trafford will be contested by Juventus.
Juventus are now reported to be ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Sabitzer, and could launch a bid as early as the January transfer window.
Manchester United and Juventus have a recent transfer history of sorts, following Paul Pogba's move to Turin in the summer after a well-publicised battle with the Red Devils over a new contract.
Ferguson had been keen to keep Pogba at Old Trafford, but the young French midfielder opted to leave for a more lucrative offer from Juventus.
