Torres eyes more Chelsea trophies

Fernando Torres has insisted he wants to stay at Chelsea and win more trophies.

Torres has endured a wretched two years at Stamford Bridge in terms of his personal form, despite winning the Champions League, FA Cup and European Championship in that time. The £50million man, who has scored just 19 goals in 90 appearances, has been linked with a move away from the European champions.

But asked whether he felt vindicated over his decision to quit Liverpool in January 2011, Torres told FIFA.com: "One of the main reasons to come to Chelsea was that they are always aiming for trophies. I needed to win trophies because they are what you have after you have finished."
