FIFA 13 release Christmas advert

Published 5 Comments

FIFA 13 have released their latest piece of festive fun pre-Christmas, with Lionel Messi staring in the latest advert from the EA Sports franchise.

The Argentine superstar, who appears on the front cover of the game for the first time this year, is unsurprisingly the star of the show, being woken by noise in his living room.

Messi creeps towards the door in his Barca slippers, and peeps through the crack in the door to see Santa Claus and his elves playing the latest version of FIFA.

Santa offers a small apology, with ripped wrapping paper lying around the opened computer game. Messi doesn’t mind however, with a cheeky smile his response.

We think the latest effort from EA Sports is disappointing, given the brilliance of the FIFA 12 Christmas advert.

In last year’s video, Gerard Pique, Jack Wilshere, Wayne Rooney, Tim Cahill and Kaka all bemoan rubbish presents, before revealing they want ‘the ball’ in their stocking.

Pique and Rooney are even seen playing against each other at the end, with the Spanish international getting the better of his English opponent.
