Parker hands Tottenham injury boost with timely return to fitness
Tottenham Hotspur news: Scott Parker completes 90 minutes for Spurs reserves
The England midfielder played the entire match as Spurs lost 5-1 to Ipswich at Spurs Lodge. Parker is yet to feature for Villas-Boas's side this season, after undergoing an achilles operation in August.
In his absence, Tottenham have played Mousa Dembele and Sandro in the middle, with Clint Dempsey or Gylfi Sigurdsson just ahead, but the return of Parker could see Villas-Boas push Dembele further forward.
The report also claims former-Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is keen to bring Parker to Loftus Road. The new Queens Park Rangers manager worked with Parker at Tottenham, and is looking for January targets to help keep the west London club stay in the Premier League.
The 32-year-old midfielder still has two-and-a-half years left on his Spurs contract, and Villas-Boas is reportedly keen to monitor Parker's progress as he returns from injury.
But the Portuguese boss will be without Gareth Bale for the trip to Everton this weekend. The Welsh winger picked up a hamstring injury during Tottenham's 3-0 victory over Fulham last Saturday, and faces up to two weeks on the sidelines.
Spurs are on a good run, having picked up nine points out of nine in the last ten days, with victories against West Ham, Liverpool and Fulham propelling them up to fourth in the Premier League.
And Parker's return to fitness is well timed - Spurs have six fixtures between now and the 1st January.
