Arsenal have been given a small boost in their attempts to beat Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City to the signing of England international starlet Wilfried Zaha, as he has revealed he is a fan of the Gunners.

Zaha has reportedly been attracting major interest from the Premier League’s top clubs and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been linked with a January bid for him.

However, his counterparts at Old Trafford, Anfield and the Etihad Stadium have also been mentioned as possible suitors for the Crystal Palace winger.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s interest may have something to do with reports that Nani is set to depart the Red Devils after failing to agree a new deal, while his local rival Roberto Mancini has a lack of wide players at City and Zaha's threat as a winger could explain his reported interest.

Zaha’s attacking prowess has been praised many times this season after his form propelled Palace in to the top two of the Championship, which will be why Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been credited with an interest – the Anfield club have a severe lack of viable forward options.

However, the 20-year-old could have given a hint to his preference if it came to a transfer, as he took to Twitter to reveal his affinity for the Emirates Stadium club during their Champions League loss to Olympiacos on Tuesday evening.

While some Gooners may take heart from such an exciting target revealing himself as a fellow fan, he did not seem entirely happy about it as he watch them slip to a second successive defeat.

“I swear I'm not watching arsenal anymore,” he said before going on to reveal his allegiances.

“I am a[sic] arsenal supporter but they stress me out.”

With Wenger’s side going through a rocky patch, Zaha is unlikely to be the only Arsenal fan feeling that way.
