Rafa Benitez will be boosted by the return of David Luiz for Chelsea's Champions League clash against Nordsjaelland at Stamford Bridge tonight, after the Brazilian defender was suspended for Saturday's 3-1 defeat against West Ham.

John Terry (knee), Frank Lampard (calf) and Daniel Sturridge (hamstring) remain sidelined, but are closing in on a return to full fitness. However, the midweek clash versus the Danish champions has come too soon for the trio.

Chelsea must beat Nordsjaelland and hope group leaders Shakhtar Donetsk beat Juventus to have any chance of progressing to the last-16. Failure to do so will mean the Blues become the first holders to exit the competition at the first stage.

Benitez, who is still waiting for his first victory since arriving in west London as interim manager a fortnight ago, concedes that Chelsea will need "a bit of luck", but added: "I don't think it's a miracle. We have to do our job and wait for the other teams."

Chelsea predicted starting XI:

Cech; Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Luiz, Cole; Ramires, Romeu; Mata, Oscar, Hazard; Torres.
