Former Manchester City manager Peter Reid is set to take over as boss of the Thailand national team.

President of the Thai Football Association Worawi Makudi confirmed he had agreed terms on a four-year contract with Reid´s agent Mike Morris, which the 52-year-old will sign next month.

"Our discussion went very well. We added some work for Reid apart from being in charge of the national team," Worawi told the Bangkok Post. "This will be good for Reid because we want him to see players not only in Bangkok but also in the provinces."
