Robson tips Ronaldo to stay

Former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson believes Cristiano Ronaldo is happy at Manchester United and will remain with the club despite the public overtures of Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Robson, who is back with the Red Devils in an ambassadorial role, is hopeful that Ronaldo will shrug off the media circus which has tracked his every move since Real´s interest first came to light and follow in his footsteps by committing himself to Sir Alex Ferguson´s side.

"In 1983 I was wanted by three Italian clubs - AC Milan, Sampdoria and Juventus," he told the Daily Star Sunday. "Transfer fees weren´t as high then but it would have been a world-record fee - only for United to price me out of a move."
