Veteran Yorke staying with Sunderland

Sunderland midfielder Dwight Yorke has signed a new one-year deal to extend his career on Wearside.

The 36-year-old has committed his immediate future to the Black Cats after playing a major role in the club´s return to the Barclays Premier League and their continued presence in it.

Manager Roy Keane told the club´s official website, www.safc.com: "Yorkie´s experience on and off the pitch has been invaluable to us."
