Robinson keen on Villa move

Paul Robinson has revealed his desire to resurrect his career at Aston Villa according to sources close to the out-of-favour Tottenham goalkeeper.

Robinson´s hopes of playing a part at White Hart Lane next season have further diminished with the imminent £7million capture of Heurelho Gomes from PSV Eindhoven.

A source close to the player said: "Paul would welcome the opportunity to move to a club like Aston Villa. He believes Martin O´Neill can help to bring the best out of him. He realises his chances of playing regularly at Tottenham look unlikely. He feels such a move would help to resurrect his career."
