The Roma playmaker is reportedly a January transfer priority for Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas. The former-Lyon midfielder has failed to settle in Serie 'A' since making the move last year, and has been linked with a move to the Premier League.
And Begovic, his international teammate with Bosnia-Herzegovina, thinks Pjanic is well suited to the English top flight.
The Stoke City keeper said: "Miralem is a great player; he is very talented and has all the qualities to succeed.
"As I know his playing attributes and his style of play I think he would fit perfectly, especially at Spurs.
"As the Premier Leagus is the best league in the world, I think that he would really like to come to England."
Tottenham signed Clint Dempsey and Gylfi Sigurdsson in the summer, and while the Icelandic international started most of Spurs matches at the beginning of the campaign, Dempsey has taken his place in the team in recent weeks.
But both attacking midfielders would come under pressure from Pjanic, should the Roma star swap Serie 'A' for White Hart Lane.
The tricky midfielder looks to operate just behind the striker, although he can also play out wide, and would give Villas-Boas even more options going forward into the New Year.
