Real Madrid consider offer for David Beckham
David Beckham could be offered a non-playing role at Real Madrid when he leaves LA Galaxy
Real Madrid are plotting a shock move to bring David Beckham back to Spain, reports the Daily Mail.
Club president Florentino Perez is a huge admirer of the 37-year-old midfielder, and only too aware of 'brand Beckham' and the global appeal that goes with him, and would love to bring the former England captain back to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The idea of re-signing Beckham as a club ambassador has been floated by the La Liga giants, but they are likely to face a fight in convincing him to hang up his boots, after the LA Galaxy star revealed his sights are set on "one last challenge" when he leaves the MLS next month.
Beckham is believed to be considering several different options in France, China, Australia, South America, Scotland and the Middle East, with a return to his native England even being mooted in some reports.
What's certain is that even in his advancing years, the desire to secure Beckham's signature is as strong as ever, and even if the worldwide sports star decides to continue playing, Real Madrid president Perez will not give up on his attempts to take the veteran back to the Spanish capital in a non-playing role in the future.
