Manchester City are reportedly set to miss out on Real Madrid star Kaka, with the Brazilian instead ready to swap the Santiago Bernabeu for a move to Turkey in the January transfer window.

The Real Madrid midfielder has been a target for Manchester City, reports the Daily Express, but Kaka is now appears to be heading for a transfer to Istanbul giants Galatasaray.

Kaka has struggled with injuries since his €65 million move to Real Madrid in the summer of 2009 and his time with Los Blancos appears to be edging towards an end.

The 30-year-old has made 102 appearances during four seasons with Real Madrid, but Kaka finds himself behind the likes of Mesut Ozil and Luka Modric in Jose Mourinho's selection order.

A move to Manchester City, though, would seem unlikely with Galatasaray reportedly in the driving seat ahead of the Etihad Stadium outfit as the January transfer window approaches.

Meanwhile, Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli continues to be linked with a winter exit from the club following his dismal display in the derby defeat to Manchester United.
