PSG confirm they want Mourinho and Ronaldo

Published 7 Comments

Paris Saint-Germain have outlined the recruitment of Real Madrid duo Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo as a key objective, according to the club's vice-president Sheikh Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

The respective futures of Mourinho and Ronaldo at Real Madrid remain uncertain, with both frequently linked with moves away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

PSG have been mentioned as potential suitors for Mourinho and Ronaldo, although the French club have previously denied suggestions that they are looking to sign the pair.

However, Al-Thani has now provided a clear indication that PSG are after Mourinho and Ronaldo and believes signing the pair from Real Madrid will help the Parisians achieve their ambition of winning the Champions League.

"Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho are objectives for Paris Saint-Germain, of course," Al-Thani told Canal Football.

"PSG are one of the best clubs in the world. Ever since day one, our goal has been to win the Champions League.

"We are already one of the best teams in France, and it's our goal to become one of the best in Europe and the world, too."

Reports in Spain have claimed that Mourinho is set to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season following a number of questionable decisions both on and off the pitch.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, has been linked with a transfer back to Manchester United after reports earlier this season claimed he was unhappy with life at Real Madrid.
