Former Terrors and Jags star Adam dies

Former Dundee United and Partick Thistle midfielder Charles Adam has died suddenly at the age of 50.

Adam is the father of current Scotland international and Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam and Grant Adam, who is the goalkeeper for Scottish First Division outfit Airdrie United, and Tayside Police said he passed away on Tuesday in Dundee.

A police statement said: "Tayside Police were called to Grampian Gardens in Dundee at 6.30pm on Monday after the death of a 50-year-old man.
