Fiorentina star forward Stevan Jovetic has revealed his future at the Serie A club is in doubt amid interest from Manchester City.

Roberto Mancini is reportedly interested in signing the Montenegro international but Jovetic explained he is unaware of it, though he did admit he could well leave in the near future.

The 23-year-old has been forging an impressive reputation in Italy since moving to Florence from Partizan Belgrade in 2008 and his performances have seen him linked with possible bids from Chelsea and Arsenal.

However, the Citizens now appear to be leading the chase and, while he insists he is happy at Fiorentina, Jovetic accepted that anything is possible in football’s current climate.

“I feel very good here in Florence. I am very happy with the team, the club and the people," he said in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

"As I always say, in football everything can happen, and I don't want to deceive anyone because you never know.

"Is there a 50 per cent chance that I will continue at Fiorentina? Yes, but now I am not thinking about the market, I am not thinking of leaving.

"The interest from Manchester City? I know nothing about it but it is good to hear rumours about my work."

At times this season Manchester City have struggled to threaten as they had done previously and a signing like Jovetic could be seen as a bid to help boost the team’s creative department, adding to the likes of David Silva and Samir Nasri.

Jovetic can also operate effectively in wide positions, an area that Mancini has been criticised for not having enough quality in.
