Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is prepared to sanction a £100m spending spree in January, according to the Daily Star.

The Blues chief is reportedly keen to clinch the signing of Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao, while Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini and Porto playmaker Joao Moutinho are also targets for Chelsea next month.

The report claims Stamford Bridge boss Rafa Benitez will hold talks with a number of his top targets later this week, as the Blues look to get ready for a busy transfer window.

Top of their list remains Atletico frontman Radamel Falcao. The Colombian international underlined his ability with a stunning goal against Barcelona last weekend, and Chelsea have been linked with a move for the striker, who is believed to have a £48m release clause in his contract.

The Daily Star suggest Chelsea have already drawn up a £200,000-a-week offer to tempt Falcao to Stamford Bridge, which would make him the club's highest earner.

The former-Porto striker could be joined by another Porto player at Chelsea if Abramovich gets his way, as Portugal international Joao Moutinho is a second January target for the European champions.

The midfielder is reported to have a £28.5m release clause. But Moutinho may not be the only midfielder coming to west London next month, as Everton midfielder Marouane Felliani is a third £20m target. Chelsea find themselves short in the central area, with Frank Lampard on the fringes of the first-team and Oriol Romeu on the sidelines for the next six months. Michael Essien remains on loan at Real Madrid.

The report claims the three moves are dependent on the sale of Danny Sturridge. The £12m-rated forward is set to complete his move to Liverpool in the New Year, and the Daily Star report the 23-year-old is ready to sign a £70,000-a-week deal. His transfer could then spark a series of moves in the New Year, which would see Benitez significantly strengthen his squad for a title tilt in the final months of the season.
