Rupert makes Saints return

Rupert Lowe has completed his return to power at Southampton, two years after his acrimonious removal from the boardroom, by being named executive chairman at the Coca-Cola Championship club.

The 50-year-old is joined on the board of Southampton Leisure Holdings plc, the club´s parent company, by Michael Wilde - who is also installed as chairman of the football board.

Wilde, 56, was the man who ousted the controversial Lowe in 2006, only to resign himself seven months later having failed to find the investment he promised.
