Lowe on verge of Southampton return

Published Add your comment

Rupert Lowe is on the verge of completing his return to Southampton after chairman Leon Crouch and the rest of the board stood down at the Coca-Cola Championship club.

The controversial former Saints chairman was removed from the role in 2006 but has now joined forces with the man who replaced him, Michael Wilde, to reclaim power at St Mary´s.

The unlikely alliance - Wilde was staunchly anti-Lowe when he mounted his own takeover almost two years ago - between them control a 46% shareholding in the club.
